2009 River Rescue Works!

River Rescue 2009 will be held on June 13th on the James River and Benefit Concert at the historic Ozark Mill for the 6th consecutive year.

Mark your calendars to join us this year for River Rescue 2009, June 13th.

Streams and Lakes in the Ozarks are severely impacted by faulty septic tanks, yard fertilizer, and storm water runoff. At the James River Basin Partnership, we’re taking year round action to correct this problem.

A few of our many programs include teaching homeowners how and when to apply fertilizer, helping pay for septic tank pump outs, and promoting rain barrels. Each year we celebrate our efforts with RIVER RESCUE.

This year's event promises to be the best ever, with the clean up on the James River. We will end the day with our benefit concert at the historic Ozark Mill with local bands Techs and The Roadies, The Lowdown Fancy, and Honky Suckle.
