Rain Barrel Sale-James River Basin Partnership and The City of Springfield are holding a Rain Barrel Sale on Wednesday, July 16^th  at the Southwest Springfield Salt Facility.  Sale is open between 4pm -6:30pm.Contact Tiffany Frey for more information 417-836-6183 or tfrey@missouristate.edu Sale Location- Southwest Salt Facility, 3301 S. Kauffman Rd.  Springfield, Missouri. This site is located nearly at the corner of Battlefield and West Bypass.  If you are traveling south on West Bypass (which turns into FF) you will arrive at the Battlefield Rd. intersection. Battlefield road goes east and Kauffman road goes west.  Take a right (west) on Kauffman Rd. It slopes down a bit and the salt facility is off to the right.

River Rescue 2008- Will be held on June 7, two sections will be cleaned this year and include sections of the James and Finley.  A benefit concert will be held at the Historic Ozark Mill in Ozark, Mo.

Watershed Committee of the Ozarks- meets the first Friday of each month at 7:30am at the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library
